Flagpole Tribute
On Gerard’s birthday, April 16, 2004, the Parkway community came together to dedicate a new flagpole in Gerard’s honor at Boston Fire L-25, E-30 in West Roxbury. Gerard’s family would like to thank the following individuals and companies for donating their time, labor, supplies, and monetary support to this memorial:

Gerard P. Dewan Square
Gerard P. Dewan grew up on Wellsmere Road in Roslindale, Massachusetts. The families and friends in this neighborhood took it upon themselves to dedicate the intersection of Wellsmere Road and Washington Street as “Gerard P. Dewan Square.” We would like to thank the neighbors on Wellsmere Terrace for making this possible.
